The Furniture Ministry team is getting set up for one of the wonderful missions of the church—the time when we all come together to collect, sort, wash and bag linens from the annual Elon University “Don’t Trash It!” campaign. This campaign provides 100-150 linen sets, enough to meet the needs of our clients for a large portion of the year. Raye Sapp is again heading up our church-wide effort.
The collection runs from May 11-May 31. We will be picking up donated linens daily during that time from Elon.
The linens will be taken to the Garrison Building where volunteers will sort them into sets and place them in bags for church members to take home and wash. When they are returned, volunteers will package them into complete “beds-in-bags,” each of which will contain a mattress pad, sheet and pillowcase set, and blanket or comforter.
Volunteers are needed to help with sorting and bagging on these days:
May 13 — 9:30–12:00
May 16, 18, 20 — 9:00-12:00
May 23, 25, 27 — 9:00-12:00
June 1, 3 — 9:00–12;00
June 7, 8, 9, 10 — 9:00–12:00 To finish and move all to Furniture Ministry warehouse.

Pick up and return after 8:30 service or after 11:00 service on following Sundays or any of the workdays May 15, May 22 and June 5.
We would like all washed items returned by June 8.
