Child Development Center
The CDC is a five-star licensed daycare center designed to reach the wide range of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of each child within the framework of a protective environment. We believe that kindergarten readiness begins at birth and continues until the first day of elementary school. Our program fosters this readiness by providing teacher-directed activities that help children develop critical thinking skills and the ability to function in a structured setting as well as by providing free choice activities, which encourage children to use creativity and imagination and to gain independence. There is also an emphasis on life skills such as character development, socialization, and self-help. Our teachers are committed to providing the best age-appropriate academic skills for the children in their care by using the Creative Curriculum, approved by the Division of Child Development.
The CDC provides full-time child care for children 6 weeks – 5 years old. Please call Tracy Barker, Interim CDC Director, for availability or to schedule a tour of our facility. If you would like to register for the CDC at CDC@fpcburlington.org.
