Kindergarten readiness begins at birth and continues until the first day of elementary school.
In a safe, protective environment, our teachers guide your children through activities that help them develop critical thinking skills and the ability to function in a structured setting. Children gain independence and are encouraged to use creativity and imagination. We also help grow life skills such as character development, socialization and self-help.
CDC closings or delays will be issued on WGHP Fox 8 (reading: First Pres.CDC Burl.) and on WFMY News 2 (reading: First Presby. Church CDC/Burl.). The closing information also can be found on the Fox 8 and News 2 websites. In addition to these announcements, the voicemail message will also state our hours of operation for the day.
Each member of the CDC staff has a background of education and experience working with young children. Every staff member is certified in CPR/First Aid and Infant-Toddler Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Teachers continually enhance their knowledge and skills through needs-based training, workshops, and college-level coursework including but not limited to courses in early childhood education and child development.
